User 927 is a stage play based on one the true events of America Online's leak of 658,000 user search logs to the public—and the subsequent uproar over one deviant user. First produced by Brat Productions in Philadelphia in 2008, the play featured a near-constant stream of video imagery that paralleled or commented on the main action of the play. Reverie Productions remounted the show in New York City in 2010.

The topical nature of User 927 drew interest from the theatrical, internet and media communities, where it was mentioned and discussed on websites and blogs as well as in mainstream media outlets such asAssociated Press, USA Today, ABC.com (with Charles Gibson), NPR.org, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, Sydney Morning Herald (Australia) and London South East.
