Mission Statement
A Chip & A Chair Films, LLC is a production company and production services organization dedicated to the mission of allowing creative artists to bring life to an uncompromised vision. We work with small, self-determined companies whose goals reflect our own: realizing projects within budget, without sacrificing their core. We believe that 'low-budget' does not have to mean 'low-quality', and independent' doesn't have to mean 'alone'.
Our Team
Nicholas Gray - Creative Director
Nicholas is a director for stage and screen with a background in Chekhov Technique and a penchant for minimalism. His focus is on the development of new work, where he strives to create an anti-auteurist work environment. His goal is a shared artistic vision, not a dictated one. A ChipChair founding member, He served as writer-director and co-producer on If You Could Say It In Words.
When not at ChipChair: Nicholas splits his time between working as a set electrician on commercials and rehabilitating aggressive dogs.
Fun fact: He was arrested for [allegedly] dealing cards in an underground poker room in New York. There is no truth to the rumor that this is why he moved to Philly.

For If You Could Say It In Words, he served as Producer and Assistant Director throughout the filmmaking process and developed marketing plans and materials for festivals, media outlets, and the public.
